OURS IS THE HOPE WHICH IS GRANTED

The hope we have is the knowledge of what God did through the atoning sacrifice of the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus, God in human form. Whose life, death and resurrection, was witnessed by those who were privileged to have been granted the understanding to know that He was the Christ. Who also recorded the historical writings we know as the Gospels in the New Testament Bible, which detail the public ministry and the acts of a man who did things that only God could do. God came to dwell among His creation, and the majority of those people did not recognize Him. Then in fulfillment of the promise which the ancient Scriptures foretold, the only person to have ever lived a perfect sinless life paid the ultimate price so that you and I would not have to.
Beaten and stripped naked, bleeding and humiliated, Jesus was crucified on Calvary’s cross to suffer the punishment of separation from the presence of God. There God’s wrath was poured out upon Jesus. He became sin, sickness and dis-ease and all of the depravity within each of us. By taking in His body the penalty we are deserving of, Jesus became the atonement for your and my sin. Jesus willingly sacrificed His deity to redeem a lost humanity, to once again enjoy unbroken fellowship with those whom He calls to give their lives for Him. And when the purpose of His death was fulfilled, Jesus raised Himself from the dead to be a living witness to the testament of His deity.

By this, Jesus proved to be the only true and living God! There is no other name or false religion known to mankind that can save, transform and make us righteous before God other than Jesus Christ.
There are grave consequences if you do not take the time to understand what it really means to be Christian. For if you live your life in a way that you enjoy the temporary pleasures of this world then one day as your body lays down in death with no atonement for your sins, there will be a reality you do not want to face!

Seek Christ now to be found by Him, and this priveledged hope will also be granted to you…

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I command you; and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the age. Matthew 28:18-20

THE WORLD IS BETTER BECAUSE OF CHRIST

I’m amused with the arrogance of educated people who think that they are wise, but are actually imbecile. Those who exercise all of their cognitive reasoning in the attempt to rationalize away the undeniable truth of creations God and with it, the thought of having to give an answer to the moral law-giver for the life one has lived. The recent debate between David Wolpe and Dinesh D’Souza, and A.C. Grayling and Matthew Chapman “The World Would Be Better Off Without Religion” was the epitome of intelligent ignorance.

http://fora.tv/2011/11/15/Debate_The_World_Would_Be_Better_Off_Without_Religion

In his book, the recently deceased author Christopher Hitches wrote about “God Is Not Great, How Religion Poisons Everything.” His world-view, much like the world-view of both Grayling and Chapman and most every person alive today both religious and non, focuses on the wrongs that imperfect people do, as was addressed by David Wolpe in his opening statement. What they intentionally avoid bringing attention too is the person whose life has been fundamentally transformed by the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Who is then used by GOD to bring about radical change in the lives of other people and, has led the way to many of the greatest humanitarian advancements in world history. I would like to suggest that God is good, and that good apart from God is in reality the arrogant expression of irrational justification of a person’s perceived self-worth. Pride is the sin which God hates most!

Read a book the will challenge the self-proclaimed atheist and the adherent of every world-religion that has ever been observed, in their attempt to explain away the evidence of the Christian religion being the only true expression of worshipping creations God. Their religion is in the rejection of, or is centered upon mans attempt to dethrone God by bringing God down to man’s attainment. Whereas Christianity is God’s own handiwork in the salvation of the person who in humility accepts the scandalous representation of the Gospel as God’s only will and testament of His separateness to humanity. No one apart from Jesus Christ has, nor ever will, be accepted by the Holy, Holy, Holy God.

So in summary, the real lesson to be learned here is to never give to a fool the microphone. The blind person cannot lead other blind people out of spiritual darkness. But in this age of tolerance where we now find ourselves, Christian apologists such as Mr. D’Souza are required to give equal time to the fool who has nothing to say worth hearing. I long for the day when the Christian man who is confident in the knowledge of the doctrine of Christ’s substitution, stands face to face with the educated imbecile as Elijah did to the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel, to make a mockery of them. Elijah had no respect for their unbelief, neither do I. The world longs for the sons of God to be revealed, whose lives and preaching and ministry of caring for the people in the communities where they live, proves to that society that “The World Is Better Because Of Christ.”

OUR WORLD DESPERATELY NEEDS THE TOUCH OF ITS CREATOR

TRUTH IS WINSOME

Author William D. Simpson’s Personal Testimony To The Life Transforming Power Of The Gospel Of Jesus Christ.

There are no words to adequately express the appreciation I owe to GOD but in the way that I know best, I will attempt to describe the awe-inspiring depth of GOD’s love which captured me.

This is why I am a Christian, and is the reason I could never be silent…

I was a child of rape,
Fatherless,
Unloved by a mother, not wanted, neglected, beaten, burned and abandoned,
Fostered and then adopted by those who did not cherish nor protect,
Molested, raped, shamed,
Innocence lost,
Told was a mistake, no good, would never amount to anything,
Cursed, kicked, slapped, whipped, beaten,
Learned by example that alcohol and drugs would numb the pain,
Runaway,
Bullied, beat up, drug overdose and left for dead,
Hospitalized, juvenile incarceration, and told again that I would never amount to anything,
Hopeless, angry, alone,
Sentenced to juvenile life in prison,
Attempted rapes, countless fights, stabbed repeatedly, and in isolation hatred consumed,
Released from prison, unwelcome, homeless, hungry,
Never begged but ate out of dumpsters and occasionally worked for food or cash,
My youth and seemingly helpless condition was the lust of another’s deviant sexual behavior, who were played, beaten and robbed,
Alcohol warmed on cold nights,
Lonely women in bars were nothing more than a bed to sleep in,
Uncaring, indifferent, selfish, self-loathsome,
Attempted suicide, and angry that even death evaded me,
Married and was soon divorced,
Immersed in the bartend culture,
Became a stripper, an escort, drug dealer, a player,
For the twenty years following my release from prison I woke up in the morning to get high and laid down drunk every night,
Never saw in any other what I had always hoped could be real,
Dead is spirit, mean, calloused, vile and vulgar defines the man I had become. Then the unexpected happened…

GOD graciously and undeservedly reached down into utter blackness to reveal the truth of Christ’s redeeming work on the cross of Calvary to save as vile a man as me. So real was GOD’s presence as tears of joy washed away a lifetime of anger and pain. Gone was the guilt of my sin against GOD when reading that by accepting Jesus as my Savior and my LORD, GOD had declared me righteous. Nothing in my past had power to enslave me anymore. It was then that I realized why GOD chose me. I know hurt. I know pain. I know intimately the hopelessness felt by all people today. But most importantly, I know that GOD can save.
What I did, I no longer do. I’m not without fault, but the sins I used to love I now hate. When I am wrong I am easily hurt in knowing that GOD’s Spirit within me is grieved, and I’m quick to ask for forgiveness. And true to the written Word, GOD has taken from me the heart hardened by sin, and has birthed in me a sincere concern for the needs people have and, of the urgency for their eternal salvation. In Christ, GOD gave to humanity His all in that GOD died in our behalf that we would be given the privilege to truly live. Salvation is a free gift, but the soul’s transformation will cost the Christian disciple everything. As I am becoming a very different person, this is a testimony to the life-transforming power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Now three years drug free,
In love with and happily married to the woman GOD chose to love me,
A helper to those who cannot help themselves,
Joined a truly Christian church,
Grew to believe that I can,
And of all things, I wrote a book about it all…

Once in awhile, someone comes along with a bold message, completely transforming the way that we view the world around us. Celebrity authors, academians and media personalities have long dominated the attention of the masses. But in this particular instance that someone is not famous, but is a person who has seen the world through a different set of eyes than most people.

GOD is real, and the book which I have written is a testament to the authenticity of the GOD of the Bible. The sole intent throughout the message of my book is to provoke deep thought by challenging the defense of one’s reason. “Why do I think like and continually do the things that I do?” For far too long we have been deceived by those who have manipulated the truths about GOD, and of how this vital world-view has influenced the societies in which we now live. Hurt people, hurt other people.
In an age given over wholly to relativism, it is my challenge for anyone to read the book which I have written and then attempt to rationally debate their disbelief of GOD, or, the belief that GOD is anything other than what has been revealed through the pages of Holy Scripture.

Of all the world religions and religious ideals, is it too difficult to believe that GOD is capable of revealing the truth of who GOD really is, and, what humanity must do to be accepted by GOD. I think not! No one can rationally defend their disbelief of GOD. For reason and conscience affirms the reality of GOD, and is why humanity hates this truth. They would rather love darkness…

Throughout history people have always insisted that the Christian give proof of GOD. I will say that Christ’s disciples have done just this by the evidence of a life forever changed. Will you give GOD the opportunity to prove to you the reality of His seperateness. GOD is so good. Our world desperately needs the touch of its CREATOR…

It is my prayer that your saving-faith will come to life while reading the personal testimony of a man who was broken by GOD to learn what it really means to love.

After nearly two years in print and very little media coverage as the result of a publisher being either prejudice of or intimidated by its message, I am offering my book for free to download in digital format. It’s never been about the money I could have made, but the possibility of my life’s testimony helping someone else to acknowledge the truth about salvation through Jesus Christ and Christ alone. I sincerely hope that you will read this book and recommend it to the people you know.

THE 2012 NEW YEARS DELUSION

I SEE WHAT THE CHURCH DOESN’T

We were in NOVA for a funeral, and to visit my wife’s family during the holidays. New Years Eve we were invited as guests to attend a private event featuring a well-known musician/band, food and an open bar, all to a sold out crowd. While the blues themed music was really good, everything else about the evening grieved me. The atmosphere was charged with excitement fueled by alcohol as the countdown to 2012 grew close. The people in attendance were a mix of early 20s to late 50s professional yuppy types. Smiling faces amidst the buzz of chatter was a constant theme throughout the night. People seemed to be happily enjoying this time to reminisce. But as the evening progressed I watched as the alcohol began to take its toll. One man fell backwards off of a bar stool on to the floor drunk. An attractive late 40s socialite was too inebriated to stand on her own. Others who had no business being on the dance floor made complete fools of themselves. Watching these lonely people longing for acceptance became the focus of my attention. The hopelessness which is so vividly clear on the faces of so many people who have way more stuff than most other people was really sad.
It mattered not the age or the income bracket these people belonged to. Everyone there was excited about something that offered nothing to help fill the great big empty hole no amount of self-satisfying pleasure-seeking will ever fill. Why is this?

Of all the people that were present I would be willing to bet that no one else looked at this pathetic gathering of lost souls the way that I did. And it is because this used to be me. I am so thankful that I am no longer in bondage to a lifestyle such as this, and, that I now have a desire to be different. The question which I believe is of utmost importance is, “What can the church do to reach these people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ?”
This is the answer they all need. But, Scripture is very clear that people would rather not hear the Gospel because then they are faced with the choice of remaining within the comfort zone with which every person has, or submitting their life to the will of GOD in repentance of their sin. Which is something GOD has commanded that every person do. And yet the church has failed miserably with engaging the societies in which we live. This is evident by the countless people whose lives are destined to repeat the endless quest for justification through self-satisfaction.

As midnight came upon us and everyone raised a Champagne glass in a toast to their new years resolution, I knew all to well the delusion each of them would face this coming year.
It is very sad to know that these people will continue to live their lives without any regard of GOD, and of the consequence of their wrong choice. Some will step into eternity this new year unprepared to meet their GOD and Savior Jesus Christ. Who will, when upon bowing to their knees in utter shock to the reality of having to acknowledge Jesus Christ as LORD, realize that the hope of their salvation is forever lost. All the while GOD weeps…

While “we Christians” make resolutions to read our Bible’s more, to pray more, be a better person, lose weight, save money for retirement, or whatever the resolution might be, I would like to suggest that it’s now become urgent that the true disciples of Christ begin to engage our culture with the Gospel of GOD in the attempt to reach a world full of people who have no hope. How dare we pursue our Best Life Now when the majority of people we know are lost and without Christ and are therefore judged by GOD and are damned!

A person can change, but only if they are willing to seek the change of heart that can be found in Christ. But they will never begin to seek this change of heart until the church of Jesus Christ engages in evangelism outside the walls of comfort most of us have found within the buildings we call church. The delousional ideal of the separation of church and state which has been taught to the American people as a Constitutional law is a falasy of the grossest kind. It violates the law of GOD which commands the Christian to go into all the world and make disciples of men. No where in Scripture is there a statement refering to the sharing of our faith in Christ. We are commanded to command that people repent! And until we do, not only have we done the gravest of injustice to the people we know, but also have we sinned against GOD. Lets not be disobedient any longer.
