The True Meaning of Christmas

Societies the world over celebrate the holiday of christmas with very little thought as to the true meaning of christmas. Families and friends gather together during this time to celebrate, to eat, to give and to receive gifts and, to party. While being trivial about and even assaulting the only truth that is eternally important.

Lest we forget, it is important that Christians take full advantage of the medias hype and of the focus given to commerce, to remind people that GOD became the man Christ Jesus to become the atonement for men.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.”
Isaiah 9:6-7

This child is the beginning of creation, the end of creation, the upholder of creation and, the goal of creation. To redeem the elect of GOD!

To slight the Child of Christmas is to blaspheme the GOD of Heaven

  1. I agree…Giving to others should be a symbol of the gift man received. Sacrificing for others certainly is in keeping.
